The Keys to Work.software Onboarding Success

If you’re reading this, you probably already have an appreciation for the value Work.software can bring to your organization (if not, check out www.work.software and Why a CEO Should Use Work.software). When I first started working with Dave and Wil about Work.software, I picked up on the value, too—but to be honest, I’m always a little skeptical of new tools. I firmly believe the process should come before the tool (in other words, you want to find a tool that fits your unique process, not select a tool and build a strategy around it).

But once I started using Work.software, it clicked—the tool IS the process. It took me a little while to come to that realization, so I’m here to save you some time by showing you just how our onboarding process can help you and your team make the most out of Work.software.

Find the Value, Not Just the Features

When you think about software onboarding, you may picture the automated walkthroughs we all know so well. You log in for the first time and observe a highlighted section of the page with a sentence or two about its primary function. “Here’s where you create a new widget.” “This page allows you to edit your widget settings.” These are almost always useful when becoming familiar with the software’s main features.

But you didn’t purchase the software because it has cool features. You bought it because of the value you believe it will bring to your company. And that’s the real purpose of Work.software onboarding: to add the most value to your organization in the least amount of time.

Will we teach you about Work.software’s key features and where to find them? Yes—but always through a lens of, “how does this feature add value to my organization and me?”

Get Into the Flow

Work.software has three main components: Performance, People, and Plays. Like any great tool, the functionality of each component is relatively simple. If you clicked around enough on your own, you could eventually figure out how to operate each one. However, during the onboarding process, we help you understand not just the features but the flow of each component.

Think of your favorite process. You can almost picture it in your head, can’t you? Each step flows into the next. We’ll help you and your teammates learn the Work.software flow, or cadence, so it becomes second nature.

The Long Game

Many organizations design onboarding programs to convert you from a free trial user to a paid subscriber or from a lower tier to a higher tier subscription. Not ours. We want to increase the value of your organization. Period.

And we know this won’t happen overnight. You and the rest of your employees need to plan, grind, and deliver over and over again. We’ll cover how to make your team buy into this tool and make it a simple but powerful part of your weekly, monthly, and quarterly routine. A combination of multiple live onboarding sessions, online support, and a growing knowledge base will get you on the path to long-term success.

Different Roles, Different Onboarding

Even though everyone on your team will be working towards identical objectives, their roles may differ—and the Work.software experience is customized to those different roles (CEO, Manager, etc.). The onboarding experience is no different, with a different agenda for each position.

We work with you from the very beginning to develop a customized onboarding plan based on the distinct needs of your organization. The goal is to provide the right training, to the right people, at the right time.

The Human Touch

I can assure you that I’m not a chatbot or piece of AI software (although I suppose that’s precisely the kind of thing a chatbot would say in this situation). Work.software onboarding includes a real live person to meet with you and your team(s), who responds to your questions outside of those meetings promptly.

As one of those people, I can also assure you that our number one goal is to help you understand the value of making Work.software a part of your organization. We want you also to see how Work.software can help you convey YOUR vision to YOUR team.

Work.software has several in-app and email prompts to guide you through the process. As we all know, healthy habits are hard to stick with, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible to stay on track for the long term. And if you do the work and stick with it, you’ll see:

  1. Steady, sustainable performance improvements;
  2. Employees who are empowered to do their jobs efficiently and effectively, and managers who develop better relationships with their employees; and
  3. Hard spots in your processes disappear and stay gone.

I look forward to working together to optimize your company’s performance!
